By the time I get to Fresno There'll be nothing more for me to think I'll be wondering where the time went And I'll have to stop and have a drink By the time I get to Bakersfield I'll be so wired that it won't seem real By the time I lay down my head You'll be someone that I can forget By the time you open up your eyes Won't be wondering if it's a surprise I'll be far away and without fear And the road ahead will be so clear By the time you lay down your head I'll be dreaming in a different bed By the time I get to Mexico You'll be just someone that I used to know By the time you close your eyes Won't be wondering if it's a surprise I'll be far away and without fear And the road ahead will be so clear By the time you lay down your head I'll be dreaming in a different bed By the time I get to Mexico You'll be just someone that I used to know

How long, how long will this go on, as cold as the sky is deep? How old, how old will your garden grow, As the birds pick at you while you sleep How far, how far will you find that you are, Just as small as a speck of dust? How deep, how deep will you shiver in your sleep, As the birds try to sing you awake How long, how long will this go on, As the birds try to sing you awake

about

Almost every song on this album was written through my participation with the Immersion Composition Society. But besides that, it was my first "solo" record! I honestly didn't know if I could do it, but I got by, as they say, with a little help from my friends. The album was engineered by my brother Ricardo, and later mixed and mastered by Myles Boisen. Some of my favorite musician friends lent their time and talent, and as you may have noticed, each cover was made by hand. Truly a labor of love!
