about

For the past 8 years or so, I've been putting on an annual Murder Ballads Bash each year at the Starry Plough. It always ends up being an incredible night of music, with many talented artists and musicians performing tales of murder, misery and despair. One year, we asked that everyone performing write a new song just for the occasion, to be debuted that night. This is the one I wrote.

lyrics

Bitter tears, bitter tears I cried for you
And oh how it killed me to say goodbye to you
And the gasoline burns now the tables are turned
So my love, there's gonna be no more crying for you

And I won't weep as I lay you down to sleep
This cold lullaby has dried up all of my...

Bitter tears, bitter tears now you're takin' your turn
Tell me how does it feel when your heart starts to burn?
With a gun or a knife I'll take your love or your life
Either way, there's gonna be no more cryin' for you

And I won't weep as I lay you down to sleep
This cold lullaby has dried up all of my bitter tears
